Isaiah 2:22 (CSB)
Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. What is he really worth.

Psalm 146:3 (NLT)
Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.

Jeremiah 17:5 (NIV)
This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.”

In short, we are not to put trust in human to hope of anything but always look to God as He is the Conqueror, Provider and Peace.

Psalm 9:10 (NIV)
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NLT)
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green and they never stop producing fruit.

Now since we are to look to God and all for God, what are God’s will for us? Here are the bible verses that depicts clearly on God’s will.

John 6:38-40 (NIV) – Believe in Jesus
“For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT) – Always be joyful
“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Romans 12:2 (AMP) – Do not conformed to this world
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”

1 Thessalonians 4:3 (ESV) – Abstain from sexual immorality
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality.

1 Peter 2:15 (NLT) – Doing good
“It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusation against you.”
